Patient Testimonial
Lori Hess
My name is Lori Hess - a paraplegic T2-T6. I woke up on February 9, 2010 paralyzed from the chest down because of an MRSA infection in my spinal column. My neurosurgeon told me I would never move my legs again.
I came to Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital the next day, unable to do anything. At first I was depressed and very uncooperative. But as time went by, I worked harder than I thought I was capable of due to the positive attitude of my physical therapist. When it was time to go home, I was pretty much self-sufficient and standing at the parallel bars with help.
Today I can walk on my own with a walker – something I thought I’d never achieve. I most definitely recommend Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone.
